Website

Our website is supposed to be done and running..but it seems like everyones having some issues with getting everything set up correctly. I think that once its set up and we understand exactly how to do it the first time, things will get easier. The first time is just going to be complicated to get things started. Dreamweaver is kind of easy to use, IF you know what your doing. So like i said, the first time is going to be complicated. After that, if you want to add things to your website and stuff, it will get easier. While setting your site up, you have to make sure you have everything typed in perfect so it will work. The beginning screen looks like this,

Print Layout brain freeze

Yes, it took me a while to get things situated with my project, but things are coming together well. My problem sometimes is that i think of so many crazy idea's that my brain just gets bombarded with stuff and freezes! and then i have nothing. I try to write down any idea's i may come up with throughout the day or night, that usually helps. I did do a cool vector piece of an old picture i had of myself for part of the print..

Print Layout

Sooo, the print layout is due next week..and i've been trying really hard to get started and figure out my ideas but of course i can't decide. I have a few ideas, but only one that kind of got me excited. I want to do a close up of my face, with my eyes really bright, and the opacity down low. Then i want to change my pupils in my eyes to peace signs, and play around with my face. Then since the opacity of my face is low, i want to have the lyrics that i chose (Red Hot Chili Peppers), going down the screen. So my face is that backround and the lyrics are the focus. My Lyrics are:
"All in all i'm loving
every rise and fall
the sun will make and i will take,
breath to be sure of this.
In the end, all will be forgiven when
surrender rises high and I
gave what i came to give,

Finished Meghan Timberlake

The end result of my photoshop project was a success. It took me awhile to make sure everything was well blended and looked realistic but i think it came out pretty good. Alot of people liked it, and at the same time alot of people were scared!

Vector Trace

So, I did my Vector trace on Jude Law, thinking i did an okay job. After critique, i was told i basically did it WRONG. ;-) Soooo, i'm very happy that we were able to do things over and try again. I was going to add onto my Jude Law peice, but then I figured it'd be easier to just start all over. So i completly changed everything, even my celebrity. I changed over to Channing Tatum, an actor. I feel like i did a better job this time, and I hope my grade shows that.

The beginning of Meghan Timberlake ♥

This is the beginning of my first photoshop project. Introducing the hottest baby made by Meghan Skelly and Justin Timberlake. This is just the first day of work, so i will keep everything updated on the progress, should be interesting.

Art Work

Week two of classes are over, things are getting a little tough, but i like challenges so it's okay. My roomate stepped on my painting i framed and shattered it! As you can see, i was a little upset.

Week 1

Class started off basic, going over the syllabus and all that good stuff.  We quickly got into our first assignment-creating a blog. I've used blogs a few times before, when I was younger, and yes, guilty--on myspace. I'm actually excited for the challenges lined up in this class, i love using Macs and learning new things about them. So, I'm definitely looking forward to the classes to come.
We also learned how to take a snapshot of something you might be working on, on your computer. Command/Shift/4.
